He earned his medical degree and initial board certification in dermatology in Spain, then relocated to the United States with his wife — a Fresno native — and completed a second dermatology residency at UT Health San Antonio, as well as a research fellowship at the University of Miami Hospital where he participated in clinical trials for psoriasis, lupus, and onychomycosis.
